What you should know about this trip
*The majority of this excursion will be on foot.
*Our goal is to enjoy the local flare of Morrocco; food, art, culture, sights.
*There are currently no Covid restrictions to travel to Morrocco at this time (2023), but this may change at any time. Please keep this in mind when making reservations.
*As of July 2023, there is a travel advisory to Morocco.
*Regarding the effects of the earthquake. I have spoken to the local vendors (Oct. 2023) and they are all up and running.
*You are responsible for personal travel insurance and travel documentation.
Other important info
*You are responsible for transportation to and from Casablanca.
*Arrival - You will need to arrive in Casablanca May 1, 2024, we plan on having group dinner at Rick’s Café if you would like to join please let me know. We will leave Casablanca on May 2.
*Departure - Casablanca on May 12, 2024. We will return to Casablanca airport by 12pm on May 12, 2024.
*Much of our sightseeing will be on foot, there is no transportation inside of the Medina (where we will be staying). Most of the sites will be a 15-20 minute walk from the riad (hotel).
*Pack as compact as you can as we will be moving between FIVE hotels and space is limited. You will only be allowed one carry-on and one check-in.
*There are NO elevators at any of the hotels, you need to be able to carry your bags up TWO flights of stairs.
*Some of the eateries are on rooftops. Again, there are NO elevators.
*We will be in close contact with camels and potentially horses. If you are allergic, please take necessary precautions.
Cancellation
*$200 deposit to save your place (applied to the final fee). This deposit will be non-refundable after Dec. 15, 2023 for May excursion, May 1, 2024 for September excursion.
Payment in full will be requested by Feb. 1, 2024.
This excursion is subject to cancel at anytime due to Covid. Our criteria for cancellation will be based on, but not limited to, travel restrictions imposed by either the US or Moroccan government. If by February 1, 2024, attractions become closed, social distancing regulations that prevent group gatherings and/or movement as a group is prohibited, we will cancel the excursion in its entirety. A full refund will be given if any of these conditions apply.
