    Details

    Level: Beginner        Sessions: 1        Hours: 3 hours

    Project Overview

    Learn the basic concepts of silver soldering while creating a Wave Link Chain. By the end of this class you will have an understanding of necessary tools and materials to successfully solder simple joints. Students will complete a bracelet by the end of class.
  • It Takes Time It Takes Time

    Level: Beginner        Sessions: 1        Hours: 3 hours

    Project Overview

    It will only take 3 hours, but by the end of class you will have a working Hour Glass Pendant. We will use sterling silver to make caps and add additional sparkle with a gemstone setting at the bottom. Students who work quickly may be able to finish two projects.

    Project Overview

    Long walks on the beach have yielded pockets full of treasure and nowhere to go but in a jar. Here is a way to turn them into something wearable. This class will offer hands on experience with a flex shaft and how to properly use it to drill glass and stone. (Note: there are no guarantees made as to the completion of project due to the sensitivity of glass. Colors and sizes will vary from sample.) Tools available for purchase from instructor.
     
  • Plutonic - Intro to Torch Fired Enamel Plutonic - Intro to Torch Fired Enamel

    Project Overview

    Learn how to fuse enamel to copper. You will learn all of the necessary steps to prepare copper for enamel, application of enamel powder and proper torching methods. Students will have enough material to make pendants and/or earrings.
     
  • Just for Fun - Bezel Setting Just for Fun - Bezel Setting

    Level: Intermediate        Sessions: 1        Hours: 4-6 hours

    Project Overview

    In this class we will have fun creating a piece that is unique to you. Students will have the opportunity to add their own design elements while learning to create a bezel setting semi-precious cabochons. Students should have working knowledge of silver soldering.

  • Jolie Fleur Jolie Fleur

    Level: Beginner        Sessions: 1        Hours: 3 hours

    Project Overview

    Learn to forge sheet metal to form a cone shape that will blossom into a Calla Lilly. Not only can you make a great pair of earrings, you will have the skills to customize your own cones for future projects. Students who don’t wear earrings may convert the flowers into pendants. Just for good measure, copper stock will also be provided for practice.

    Project Overview

    This class will offer hands on experience with a flex shaft and how to properly use it to drill glass and stone. We will review all of the basic information on materials and tools needed.   • Kaleidoscope - Torch Fired Enamel Kaleidoscope - Torch Fired Enamel

    Level: Intermediate        Sessions: 1        Hours: 3 hours

    Project Overview

    Combine transparent and opaque enamels to create a kaleidoscope of colors. Using a series of multiple torch firings we will create a special effect that will dazzle the eye. This is listed as an intermediate class because the basics will not be covered during the class time so that we can focus on the technique and get right to work creating. 
     
  • Riveting Enamels Riveting Enamels

    Project Overview

    Learn enameling and cold connections in one class. You will learn to torch fire enamel on copper and use transparent enamels on silver to create true colors. After firing all the pieces, you will rivet them together. Students will finish at least one pendant.
  • Twinkle Twist Twinkle Twist

    Project Overview

    In this class, we will make a twist and add a twinkle to create stacking bracelets. You will learn to solder, forge and twist sterling silver.

    Project Overview

    Can’t get enough rings? Lets make two more and put them together and go for extravagance. Topped with a 10mm pearl this ring will be the showcase in your jewelry box.

    Project Overview

    Like the look of enameled silver but don’t like the expense? Here is a way to create a jewel effect on copper using silver foil and transparent enamels. We will cover all the basics of enameling and how to achieve a vibrant effect.
     
  • Colossal Links Colossal Links

    Details

    Level: Intermediate        Sessions: 1        Hours: 4 hours

    Project Overview

    Learn silver soldering while creating an eclectic linked bracelet. We will twist and bend wire to form fun shapes from square, triangle and bead wire. For those who don’t wear bracelets you can use the links for earring or even a necklace.
  • Penumbra Penumbra

    Details

    Level: Intermediate        Sessions: 1        Hours: 6 hours

    Project Overview

    Hollow forms let you create a lot of depth to your work while utilizing all of your skills. Starting from sheet metal and jump rings we will do some soldering, sawing and stone setting to build a pendant that will not be left in the shadows. Students are asked to come to class prepared with a few design ideas of their own, however remembering that complex designs simply means more sawing.
